Rotator Cuff Tendonitis:
- Also known as supraspinatus tendonitis, subdeltoid bursitis, subacromial bursitis, and partial tear of rotator cuff.
- The four rotator cuff tendons provide the shoulder with mobility and stability.
- These tendons internally and externally rotate and abduct the arm.
- Repeated overhead motions result in wear and tear of the tendons as they pass between the humerus and acromion process.
- Symptoms include a dull aching sensation over the tendon, discomfort with specific movements, and tenderness to touch.
